What Kind of Stupid Earthquake Was That?14 Feb 2005 18:04 GMT12
Hello, all!  I note that the 4.4 temblor on the "Clayton-Marsh
Creek-Greenville" fault which struck yesterday, 19 miles East of Alum
Rock (which is itself 5 or 6 miles east of Downtown San Jose,
California), has as of this hour, almost one full day later, produced
Sumatra EQ Revised to mag 9.3 14 Feb 2005 15:59 GMT15
If these folks are to be believed the 12/04 Sumatra EQ was mag 9.3 not 9.0
as previously reported. At mag 9.3 the Sumatra EQ would be the second
largest, behind the 1960 Chili 9.5 EQ, ever recorded.

35 years ago, I found a relation between earthquakes and lower clouds,
I was 16, than I predicted 5 earthquakes in Turkey.. no-scientific
believed me... Last year a bulgarian scientist found same relation via

Any comments on that quake just before 1808Z today?  See, for example,

It showed up on the SEP, YEL, HSR and CDF Webicorders but not on BLIS.
That may be due to settings of the BLIS unit, of course. The size of

I 'think' that there will be a severe earthquake (7.0 plus) today, either
epicentred near Mount Saint Helens in SW Washington state, or off the SW
coast of British Columbia, Canada.
