Hey, they're getting bigger now. They have been around only Mag 3.0 for ages.
I bet that was the first time some of the women living there ever had the earth
move for them. You should have heard what one American women ...

I just wanted to give a heads up to those who frequent
these two groups, sci.geo.earthquake and sci.geo.geology,
that have a habit of crossposting to several groups, that
news providers are starting to block your messages because

I don't about the other regulars here, but I'm getting fed up the
response posts that take of the same bandwith as 5 or 6.
I wonder if it's at possible that some might wish to be a little bit
more considerate and leave the long agenda off of their posts, please.

Stand Deyo is claiming to have hit the 7.6 Pakistan quake and
the 4.2 San Simeon aftershock.

George Will just wrote an article saying there were many quakes in 1906
besides the SF one.  One was in Taiwan.  Why are quakes clustered in
time like that if they are on different continents??

If at all the recent earthquake has a silver lining, this must be it.
According to one terrorist leader, the area hardest hit was a
site for terrorist training camps.  One thing the article below does
prove is that the state of Pakistan continues to be a major sponsor of

Al-Jazeera puts the toll at 30,000, but considering the source, I'd take
that with a grain of salt.

Anyone else noticed the spate of large aftershocks in the
San Simeon region lately?
In the past week there's been four 3.0+ quakes, largest
being a 4.8 on the 2nd.
