1.  No earth scientist will issue a public earthquake prediction which
will result in an acceptable hit on all parameters.

Detailed info about the relatively quiet Sierra Foothills faults is
hard to find, but interesting (at least to me) because they're near
home.  Can anyone say whether the fault zone is a series of normal
thrust faults?  Or strike slips?

Since the seismometer they put online is at the base of the mountain and not
the summit it seems to have cut down on the wind noise...and what it's
showing now doesn't seem to be wind noise; and it looks local. ...
