Intelligent Earthquake Sensor - Help needed29 May 2007 14:34 GMT2
I am looking for an Intelligent Earthquake Sensor which is capable of
estimating the damages that are inflicted by the seismic movement.
I have found only Yamatake's one. But I need in different brand names

CalTech and the USGS can't predict an EQ.......28 May 2007 17:59 GMT3
But some blabber-brain can? I think NOT. Just quit with the
predictions and try some decaf........... of course, the crystal ball
thing is entertaining. Especially to those room temperature IQ's. I
find it VERY boring.

US West Coast Region begins three-year seismic upcycle.19 May 2007 15:04 GMT13
I expect above average magnitude quakes for this region over the next
few years, with the next larger mag (4.0+) cluster starting within the
next few months.

Hawaii EQ Oct 15 2006 and astronomical observatories19 May 2007 09:35 GMT2
All,
The mag 6.7 EQ just off the Big Island of Hawaii on Oct 15 2006 was the
subject of one or two threads here and the effect on the observatories on
Mauna Kea was also brought up. I'm too lazy to find the original threads
Science in the general news: Monitoring Kick'em Jenny19 May 2007 09:23 GMT3

installed a seismometer atop an active volcano
called Kick 'em Jenny under the Caribbean
A magnitude 5 for Aysén, CHILE?17 May 2007 18:07 GMT2
After the 6.3 of 04.21.2007 in Aysen, they were some quakes, but all
under 4. People there, are with any orientation, because the
"official" idea is that the predictions are not feasible. But you can
remember a different and positive case of mine, (See the prediction on
Mistyry.12 May 2007 06:19 GMT16
I can't understand why there are no tropical cyclones extant and that
there is nothing else similar to account for the absence of a reaction
to my prognostications going astray:

Anyway that's it -- a 5.2 earthquake 6 miles deep
and 39 miles West of Petrolia, California.
Before this one there was a 4.1 and before that
a 3.0 all out in the Pacific ocean.  This 5.2 EQ
Fiji earthquakes08 May 2007 08:27 GMT8
I looked into any online news about yesterday's two earthquakes in the
Fiji area, even though they were way too deep to cause a fuss at the
surface...
