Looking up some stuff just now I came across this pafge that has an
interesting take on ear tones in the earth that can be heard by people

Ox Mountain Strain Continues24 Nov 2007 02:08 GMT4
Since not all of you read my web page I thought I'd mention the strain
meter at Ox Mountain located on the SAF near Crystal Springs Reservoir
continues to show strain west of the SAF which can include the SAF and
the San Gregario Faults.  Either one of these has the potential to
Major Earthquake 4 Berkeley?  More Scare Tactics23 Nov 2007 20:27 GMT5
Here's a flyer that is being circulated around Berkeley.  I'm not sure
who the creator or distributor may be, but before you read it know
that Jim Berkland has nothing to do with it....  Petra

Loyalty Islands seismicity23 Nov 2007 10:06 GMT21
Maybe I'm just dumb, but it seems to me that there has been a whole lot of
seismicity south of the Loyalty Islands in the M5 to M6 range, but nothing
M7 or bigger.  Is it just a mainshock-lots of aftershocks sequence, with
lots of largish aftershocks?
Petra's Israel Quake21 Nov 2007 06:59 GMT2
Hi All.  I'm sure glad I didn't make any bet with Petra about the
quake in Israel as I would have lost.  I do remember say something
like "you have got to be kidding" or something like that.
She just made it under the wire as far as timing goes.  The quake

Dante's Peak16 Nov 2007 04:15 GMT38
I know that most volcano movies are crap as far as real science is
concerned. I have a question about one specific scenario in "Dante's Peak".
Some people get trapped in a metallic boat on an acidic lake. Boat starts
dissolving as it is proceeding on the lake and water starts to ...
