Well -- ALMOST never. Since Alaska had one of the world's largest in recorded history on Good Friday, 1964, But look where it was. In a sparsely-populated part of the continent. And NO huge quakes in this continent since.

That between Aug. 15-17 the area from Wendover Nevada to Boise Idaho may have a temblor in the 5.6 - 6.3 mag. at a depth of 8-10 km. Criticism is the greatest kind of compliment. I thank you in advance.
