I would like to know if there exists any equation relating intensity
of light (luminous) and wavelength. Sorry for such a basic question,
but i'm very fresh to EMR study. Also, what's the minimum frequency
required for a laser to drill through steel?
Make your own MODERN capacitor?28 Dec 2007 10:48 GMT2
Sorry for the cross-posting; this crosses over a bunch.
Is it within the reach of amateur science to create an
electrolytic or double layer ("super") capacitor?
Nothing particularly state-of-the-art, of course, but
How to calculate the heating power loss in a cylindrical     ferromagnetic bar in a AC mag-field ?26 Dec 2007 12:04 GMT7
I need to make some calculation on the heating loss of a cigar-shaped
ferro bar inside a AC magnetic
, with the AC mag-field parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bar,
anybody who can give me some reference or solution ?

can we see the electromagnetic spectrum?12 Dec 2007 06:46 GMT2
we can see the light only in entire EM specteum, because our eyes able
to see only the visible spectrum. can we see the other range of EM
waves?  is any special devices are there to see the remaining spectrum?
Silence of the physicists. 204 Dec 2007 15:03 GMT4
I refute conclusions of 17 authors of 6 works and show that, in
reality, results of these works contradict standard electrodynamics.
Unfortunately, the authors are not ready to uphold their conclusions.
The authors are Loudon, Bishop, Nieminen, Heckenberg, Rubinsztein-
charge density on a plane with a circular hole01 Dec 2007 22:18 GMT1
I'm trying to find out the approximate charge density distribution
which would result if charge was placed on an infinite metal plane
with a circular hole in it.
I'm aware that for a straight edge the charge density is approximately
