MATERIAL MAY HELP AUTOS TURN HEAT INTO ELECTRICITY28 Jul 2008 19:50 GMT1
Researchers have invented a new material that will make cars even more
efficient, by converting heat wasted through engine exhaust into
electricity.

Error in Wikipedia article: Faraday's law of induction25 Jul 2008 08:50 GMT50
It seems there is an error in this Wikipedia article:
   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday%27s_law_of_induction
Faraday's law says the induced EMF is in proportion to the rate of CHANGE
(my emphasis) of the magnetic flux.  The article describes this much OK.
TRUE VALUE OF THE FINE STRUCTURE CONSTANT REVEALED23 Jul 2008 05:32 GMT5
For over half a century now Theoretical Physics academia has been
desperately searching for the TRUE value of the Fine Structure
Constant. The best "guess" so far from those scientists in Quantum
Mechanics diligently working to find this correct value is:
completely dynamical solver?22 Jul 2008 15:20 GMT4
Is there any complete dynamics solver for gravity and EM? e.g., the
Jefimenko equations + gravity(is there a relativistic equivalent similar to
Jefimenko's?).
I'm thinking about implementing these buts its quite daunting... not
Dielectric21 Jul 2008 18:41 GMT5
If two electrodes are sandwitching two dielectric materials with very
different dielectric constants (but the same thickness), say, water
and glass. Would the new dielectric constant lies in between the
original two?
Double Slit Redux14 Jul 2008 17:16 GMT13
This time, Bill walks to the wall, whisks out a cigarette (though he does
not smoke) lights it and grips it between his lips. He removes a bandanna
from his hip pocket and ties it around his eyes.
He takes a deep breath. "Ready! Aim! Fire!" he shouts.

attraction force on electromagnets12 Jul 2008 02:36 GMT6
Hi everybody! Speaking about industrial electromagnets, like this one:

¿Is an electromagnet like this, strong for attract nearby
ferromagnetic objects? ¿How closer they need to be to get attracted

Hi everybody! I have a doubt: Imagine that you have an only ionizer
machine in which you can change its high voltage generator by these
two options
a)A high voltage generator what  consumes 1000 watts, and produces an
