| Teller Never Fully Explored the Symmetries/Parallels Between Fission & Fusion | 29 Aug 2005 23:21 GMT | 1 |
Teller only did the bare minimum comparing fission to fusion in his 1979 book on controlled fusion. But what do you expect from someone who only knew how to blow stuff up? ? ? ?

| If Fission Has a Minimum Critical Mass . . . | 27 Aug 2005 23:37 GMT | 2 |
Maybe fusion should have a maximum CM. And that would probably be one reaction. Bret Cahill

| Critical Mass for Fusion | 27 Aug 2005 23:02 GMT | 6 |
Is there any threshold or otherwise interesting amount of mass in fusion in general? Why is a few milligrams of D such a great amount in inertial confinement?

| Profitable Solar Power - A suggestion | 26 Aug 2005 18:46 GMT | 1 |
I invite you to visit http://dreams2text.blogspot.com and check out the article that suggests ways of reducing the costs of solar power generation so that solar power production becomes a profitable. Would love to hear your comments.

| 35 Year Fusion Time Table | 24 Aug 2005 21:10 GMT | 8 |
Instead of building a lot of refineries for oil shale, oilemulsion, tar sand, etc., why not see if it is possible to realistically plan on having cheap conventional fusion in 35 years? Calculate all the odds for all the necessary developments.

| Macro Fusion Approaches May Not Be the Best Way To Go | 24 Aug 2005 02:02 GMT | 1 |
They can now image orbitals and use electron beam microscopes to maneuver single molecules. All the current approaches to fusion, however, are macro and don't/can't take advantage of these new techniques.

Saw interesting paper about fusion occurring in low energy deuteron beams: http://www.lenrcanr.org/acrobat/IsobeYsearchforc.pdf Does this imply that a low level of acceleration of a somehow generated beam of deuterons made(using magnets) to move in a circular

| sonofusion with tensioactive | 02 Aug 2005 01:11 GMT | 2 |
The current research on sonofusion consists to obtain nuclear fusion in deuterated liquids. A beam of neutrons generates tiny bubbles in the liquid. An ultrasound field expands and contracts these bubbles. The nuclear fusion could occur when the collapse of bubbles is ...
