Richter Scale Question31 Mar 2005 21:12 GMT4
Visited an area in England called Lulworth Cove and Stair Hole where the

A "Bad Geology" page is desperately needed... #227 Mar 2005 00:18 GMT3

Robert Schoch and the dating of the great sphinx25 Mar 2005 20:33 GMT12
A google group search for the terms "Schoch" and "Sphinx" turned up only a
few documents on this group, the newest being from four years ago, so I
feel reasonably confident that I am not awakening a tired thread which is
discussed ad-nauseum on this group, but if you disagree, ...
Grand Canyon genesis24 Mar 2005 19:03 GMT39
Anyone have a comment on this:
"Recent research indicates that five or more catastrophic floods up to

Where does the new land from mid-Atlantic ridge go?24 Mar 2005 14:06 GMT13

Metamorphosed welded tuffs?17 Mar 2005 10:54 GMT18
Hi All...
A real geology question from a non-geologist (but interested layman).
Welded tuffs have piqued my interest of late.  I managed to track down
the author of a graduate thesis on the geology of the area right around
