I found these 2 rocks on a beach in Ireland, there were no other rocks on

As a postgrad student, I'am currently working with Carrara marble, with
an average grainsize of about 150 microns. I'm looking for pure marbles

I have a dim memory that what is often described as the oxidation of
pyrite generating heat in freshly-exposed sediments etc, is actually
the oxidation of marcasite, a structural variant of pyrite. Or is my
