Question about Freon and the "hole" in the ozone31 Dec 2004 02:51 GMT7
I've read that freon is 4x heavier than air yet the theory goes it still
gets carried into the upper atmosphere by air currents to intermingle with
the ozone. Yet, I've seen it claimed that the ozone created in the lower
atmosphere by manmade sources doesn't get carried into the ...

Can someone please help me to calculate RH when only the wetbulb and
drybulb temperatures are available.  The idea is not to use any tables
or charts.

I can't believe nobody had a clue these were approaching. Anyone know of any

Lightning from a dry-cloudless windstorm?29 Dec 2004 11:42 GMT6
I live in southern california (arid subtropical) and every so often we
have a warm dry windstorm called the "Santa Ana Winds". These wind
always occur in warm dry weather that is completely cloudless, but can
contain a lot of dust. The environment is usually fairly prone to

H2O2, Hydrogen Peroxide the basis of Earth-AirConditioner, transported  by passenger airlines and space flights28 Dec 2004 18:37 GMT3
I still have no answer as to whether the Ozone layer was abundant or a
maximum during the Ice Ages. Whether that high percentage of ozone
helped to freeze Earth into a Ice Age. And with Global Warming and
ozone-hole whether in recent years the Ozone layer is the Minimum.
Northwest Weather Warming and Drying Up26 Dec 2004 23:23 GMT18
Months of well under-average rainfall continue to pass season after
season and year after year.
Drought months are not uncommon, even in late autumn and winter.
Hard rain and storms, even steady rain is disappearing.
City Weather Data25 Dec 2004 20:15 GMT3
I'm interested in viewing/downloading, on a daily basis, the actual
high/low/precip for the prior day (such as the information that appears
in most newspapers for the day prior) from a website.  The catch: I'm
looking for the most comprehensive listing available.
Europe low pression: 940 hPa 25 Dec 2004 00:51 GMT1
can anybody explain me how can be possibile that a low pression system of
940 hPa exists on Norway's sea?
Water temperature I don't think is so much warm to be in contrast with ice
air coming from the North Pole.
Weather Balloons 194223 Dec 2004 10:12 GMT23
I'm researching a WWII airfield near where I live in Devon, U.K.
It appears that the meteorologists used balloons as part of the data
collection, but at that time they had no radar, etc., to help with finding
the height of the balloon.
CO2 does not affect the weather at all !!!!22 Dec 2004 00:35 GMT1
It's just a myth created by eco-terrorists to scare little kids.

I'm looking for the atmospheric attenuation coefficient for IR
wavelenght (1064 nm). How is this coefficient determined?

They represent the results of tens of millions of readings
