Q: Building a Weibull distribution of air temperatures based on local min, max and average?22 Jan 2007 07:51 GMT3
Is it reasonable to believe, that monthly or yearly air temperatures
fit a Gaussian or more likely a Weibull distribution with 3 parameters?
Have anyone worked with the opposite, namely building a Weibull
distribution based on the local min, max and average?
Don't Humans produce CO2?21 Jan 2007 21:45 GMT1

population of 6 Billion could have some factor in increasing levels of
CO2 in the atmosphere?
I'm thinking of a comparison of human breathing when the population

ice in West Los Angeles21 Jan 2007 19:32 GMT1
Cold weather brought ice to West Los Angeles this morning. I saw it at
Clover Ave School, near Westwood and National Blvds, where sprinkler
water ran off onto the sidewalk and froze. It was still frozen at 10:15
am (in the shade) and my little daughter had fun sliding on it. This

Dr. Heidi Cullen wants to save us unlike the global killers.21 Jan 2007 19:19 GMT2
I've been told by an inside source at TWC that Dr. Heidi Cullen rides
a bike to work on good days and drives an all electric car when it
rains. Don't know that make/model, but she tells people it costed
around $150K. It's sub-compact in size but she says a single charge

Question about Precipitation19 Jan 2007 00:29 GMT2
When ambient temperatures are below freezing, is it possible for
precipitation to be in the form of drizzle (ie liquid state), or is it
always sleet (frozen state)?

Snow question16 Jan 2007 05:12 GMT5
I was driving on a freeway at about 4000 ft elevation, daytime, air
temp about 45 F, snow in the air but no accumulation on the ground.
It appeared that there was an area about 2 to 4 inches above the
ground where the snow was very much denser and I was able to watch the
