I have found an iron object, with what looks like a few fragments of olivine embedded in it. They definitely look like olivine, yellow and yellow-green fragments about 4-5 mm large, maybe somewhat larger as they go into the iron.

I have found some translucent dark to light green rocks in the talledega al area and would like to determine what it is. One chunk is almost as big as a softball. some is pitted like bubbles of air was in it when forming. If you can help me Identify email me at ...

Do any of you know of a rock/mineral/fossil, etc called Saint Brigets Cross? Not sure of the spelling. My father used to find them in the Clinton Massachusetts when he was a child, circa 1930s.

I'm looking for the details of how azurite forms. I know the basics -- sulfide ores oxidize to sulfates, sulfates + meteoric water + dissolved CO2 make azurite (and malachite). I'm interested, though, in the specific mechanisms, and the exact chemical & mineral
