I understand that there is a relatively remote locality in southern
Nevada where "sizeable" garnets can be found in rhyolite ashflow tuff,
possibly an ignimbrite, occuring on the flanks of a large Tertiary
volcano, most likely a large caldera ehich is not easily recognized as
