Gravity question27 Jul 2004 02:05 GMT17
I'm not profoundly into physics, more like an amateur that likes to
think a lot. I have a question.
Could it be said that an object is experiencing effort while fighting
'gravity' because it is actually accelerating in time?
Note: Relativity and FTL Travel FAQ23 Jul 2004 23:03 GMT11
Some of the readers of this newsgroup might be interested in a FAQ
just posted to the rec.arts.startrek.tech newsgroup.  The FAQ is

what is negative kinetic energy?19 Jul 2004 20:47 GMT2
The mechanical energy of a one kilogram body at rest on the surface of the
Earth is -63 million joules. That mechanical energy can easily be converted
into kinetic energy. So how fast does a one kilogram body have to travel in
order to have a kinetic energy of -63 million joules?
Is There a Force of Gravity?12 Jul 2004 01:16 GMT3
Is There a Force of Gravity?
In undergraduate physics, the Newtonian concept of an attractive force
between masses that is proportional to the product of the masses divided by the
square of their separation is taught. When one advances to the more advanced

A Look at Quantum "Spookiness"
The results of quantum theory were described as "spooky" by Drs. Einstein,
Podalsky, and Rosen because quantum theory seemed to reject "objective
reality". They believed that all observed effects must be produced by "local"
