Hello.  I'm looking for very specific info for summer 2005 for a point
just outside of Brunswick, Maine (right near Cook's Corner to be
exact) and have not had much luck finding a website that can provide
such tidal tables.

most recent position of all ships reporting weather conditions to the
VOS.  http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/researchships.phtml provides
the same information, but limits the display to oceanographic research

Can somebody please explain to me why us as a government spend so
much money on space exploration which yields so little and spend so
little on the study of the ocean which yields so much? I don't have a lot
