Stonethrowing theory and the new find of Homo floresienes31 Oct 2004 16:15 GMT1
A new find is electrifying the anthropology sector of about 7
individuals ranging in age of 95,000 to 12,000 years ago and found near
Indonesia. Some have called the shortened small size creature as
"hobbits" of a recent movie.
Trilobites28 Oct 2004 13:18 GMT16
For some reason, I can't stop myself from wondering ... what would
trilobite taste like? I assume you could grill one of them up just like
most kinds of seafood, but would they taste like crawfish? mussels? Would
they be palatable at all?

NOVA show *Neanderthals on Trial*; Stonethrowing theory applied21 Oct 2004 00:11 GMT2
I forget how many times I have seen a repeat of this TV show but each
time seems to bring out new insights.
To those that have watched this show it starts with Svante Paabo of Max
Planck Institute inspecting the mitochondrial DNA of a Neanderthal and
Avian skin development and the evolutionary origin of feathers.16 Oct 2004 15:32 GMT1

Can You Please Help Me With these Questions14 Oct 2004 22:32 GMT1
I've been studying for an evolution midterm, and understand most of
the concepts, but I still have a few questions.  It would be greatly
appreciated if you could help clear these concerns:
"When aligning two or more homologous or DNA or amino acid sequences,
Extinction of anaerobes / rise of aerobic organisms14 Oct 2004 15:16 GMT4
My notes suggest that the earliest photosynthesis was around ~3.1 BYA,
which concurrently began to create an oxidized atmosphere.  This in turn
started the extinction of anaerobes and the rise of aerobic organisms.
If these notes are relatively accurate, do we have an ballpark idea ...
Large exoskeletons14 Oct 2004 08:06 GMT14
Is there any reason why exoskeletal creatures have tended to remain small,
relative to say, vertebrates?  Is a lobster, at ~45lbs., the largest of
these (including extinct lineages)?   Is there anything specific reasons why
they could not in theory, grow to hundreds or thousans of ...
Where Peace Abides14 Oct 2004 04:29 GMT2
Peace and healing lie within the heart of God.
Live in the heart of God . . . there is no fear there.
found a dionsaur bone14 Oct 2004 03:45 GMT4
we found a petrified dinosaur bone on our trip to the Bisti Wilderness
Area south of Farmington/NM and were very excited about it. Looking
around in the internet, it looks like it is common to find dinosaur
fossils in this area. Still, we are wondering if someone here can tell

Hi everyone,
I can recommend the book "What Darwin Didn't Know" by Geoffrey Simmons, M.D.
This book examines the human body and shows repeatedly that what Darwin was
ignorant of about the human body provides convincing proof that design was
Be thankful07 Oct 2004 12:26 GMT29
Concentrate your heart and life upon the Christ life and glory, and
you will no longer fear anything.
Be thankful, for thankfulness also casts out all fear.
Be thankful, and remember that your Father in heaven knows your needs
Did we evolve to die? And can we change that?-news story01 Oct 2004 18:13 GMT17
If aging is programmed into our genes, we might just be able to do something
about it, some researchers think.

Psittacosaurus mongolensis osteology01 Oct 2004 01:45 GMT4
After searching 20 Google pages on Psicattosaurus, I have not found an
osteological diagram of P. mongolenisis. Does anyone have an online
reference
to such information, suggestions in the literature or some scans that
