It's not mine - I took a photo for a friend. The fossil was found in Palos Park, IL, along the Cal Sag channel. Sorry I never measured it, but I believe it is about 2.5 inches long, just about as wide. http://www.ccfp-fishing.com/images/misc/fossil_1r.jpg

I'll be starting a semester long graduate research project wherein I will be looking at forams from off the coast of south africa. I don't know all that much about forams and their study, anyone have any good references for them? Both texts and articles?
