Question about the principal quantum number in electron configuration.10 Jun 2005 07:10 GMT2
In the electron configuration, does the principal quantum number(n)
have any purpose apart from setting the range of values for the
azimuthal quantum number(l)?
Fermions have odd spin, Bosons have even spin08 Jun 2005 04:13 GMT2
We have all noticed that spin is described as being a multiple of
hbar/2. I thought that it would be better to set this value to a
constant giving,
hdot = hbar/2 = 5.2728584118222738157569629987554e-35 J.s
How does a non-charged particle have magnetism?07 Jun 2005 20:07 GMT19
I (sort of) understand what spin is. It has something to do with the
magnetic moment of the particle. Just one question. How is it that a
particle with no electrostatic charge can have a magnetic field at all? For
charged particles it's easy; just add angular momentum et voila, ...

From Magnetic Monopole to Magnetic Strings06 Jun 2005 22:41 GMT6
We will presume that magnetic monopoles exist and call the negative
monopole a Stron, and the positive monopole a Ntron.
Strons will be attracted to Ntrons.
Strons will be repelled by Strons.
The Planck Point and HUP06 Jun 2005 12:04 GMT45
The formuala for the reduced Planck constant(hbar) is given by
hbar = h / 2pi
and the formula for the circumference of a circle is given by
C = 2.pi.r
From Magnetic Monopoles to Magnetic Loops06 Jun 2005 04:42 GMT24
We will presume that magnetic monopoles exist and call the negative
monopole a Stron, and the positive monopole a Ntron.
Strons will be attracted to Ntrons.
Strons will be repelled by Strons.
Inferred energy paradox in QM05 Jun 2005 01:06 GMT3
Here's a correlation paradox about the required relationship between two
particles (more precisely, an emitter and a photon.)  It is even more
challenging than entanglement, because it would probably have local
consequences and not just show correlated patterns of measurements.
Everything Is Moving01 Jun 2005 04:01 GMT17
See if I'm thinking on the right track here
Everything in the universe is moving always.
Some so small, we cannot measure, or see. Like a rock.
but at a certain zoom, movement can be seen.
