Particle Radii29 Nov 2005 18:03 GMT26
Anyone know where to find a reference for the radius of a Muon and a Tau?

weak interaction24 Nov 2005 14:37 GMT1
Does someone knows how do we call the next interaction between u and s
quarks :
u + e-  -->  s + neutrino
Is it called a weak scattering (I don't think so, as it lacks a quark in

Radioactive isotope with a half-life of 48,000 years22 Nov 2005 15:23 GMT4
Is it possible to identify such an isotope? What are my choices if I
wanted such a long half-life product. (Ultimately, I need it to
activate a timing switch....!)
Thanks, anyone for any pointers.

question about particle-wall collision simulation19 Nov 2005 10:05 GMT2
I am programming a simulation (java) with particle-particle collisions and
particle-wall collisions. All entities are 2D.
The particles are modelled as hard spheres. Internal energy is not modelled.
This work nice. You can see the particles moving with a brownian motion.
