A local laserist friend (Chris Favreau) sent me this link.
I saw it, and had to share with the group.
Homemade galvos, controller, everything... doing 18kpps @ 8 degrees,

I have a question regarding the MIL spec that has become the industry
standard for specifying scratch-dig.
I realise that the scratch number doesn't actually define the width of
scratches (like many people beleive) but references the samples used

Does anyone have experience using a Q-switched doubled YAG as a pump
source for a dye laser?  We are considering a laserscope as a pump
source for a Spectra Physics 375B with styryl-8 dye.  Any reason this
