I was stupid, connected 24 volts to a DPSS power supply that normally runs
on just 5 volts. The was laser working just fine, and I was alerted to "the
problem" by the smell of burning electronics.
Situation now is, that the laser works but it needs a minimum of 7 volts,

I have a used 315M 100mW.
The laser head is mounted on a heatsink.
Initially, the laser worked fine, but now it is constantly mode
hoping! Even by placing a fan to further cooldown, the laser is still

It was indeed the coating on the magnet that was peeling off.
