Thin Film Software02 Dec 2004 23:13 GMT2
Dear Thin Film Experts,
I wish to know how to simulate light sources like Sun spectrum, xenon
lamp, incandescent lamp, etc. in Thin Film Software. This simulation
will help in designing filter coatings that modify the spectra of
Optics Lawyers?02 Dec 2004 23:04 GMT4
Hi Friends,
Does anyone know a patent law firm that is well versed in optical matters?
Not necessarily lens design, but illumination systems, video cameras,
microscopes, that kind of thing.

Differences between Ortholux, Dialux, Labolux etc.02 Dec 2004 16:27 GMT5
I'm currently looking to buy a transmitted light microscope to help me
in my studies of lichens and as a replacement for my old monocular

Chinese glass02 Dec 2004 12:58 GMT2
I have been hearing about chinese glass and how cheap they are but I

Reliable tunable lasers02 Dec 2004 08:39 GMT2
I plan to buy a tunable laser (50 to 100 mW) at 780 nm to build a  Rb
MOT. The three main suppliers of commercial lasers that I know are
NewFocus, Toptica, and Sacher, and they made comparable offers. I'd
really like to know if one company have more robust and reliable
Help needed adapting an optical mouse sensor for a greater offset02 Dec 2004 02:43 GMT1
Am am interested in using an optical navigation sensor from Agilent in
mobile robotics.  Essentially I want to use the Agilent ADNS-3060 High
Performance Optical Mouse Sensor [1] more or less as designed.  I say

Pr7820 Laser Tube, Hoe many mW?02 Dec 2004 01:22 GMT1
Just picked up a very old laserdisc player from a GM dealership.
It is the PR7820. Some of the mirrors for directing the beam are out
of wack. I have a very old set of directions on how to manualy adjust
these mirrors to get the correct beam path. Some of the steps require
controlling scanners,etc  using sound software02 Dec 2004 01:08 GMT8
Bit new to this, so apologies if it sounds a little confused.
I'm working with a sound artist to produce an interactive installation
that will eventually use a laser.
We're using a piece of software called Max/MSP which allows you to
LSI THERMO   N2 Modules from Ebay.02 Dec 2004 00:26 GMT3
Ok I picked up one of the LSI N2 modules that are getting dumped on
ebay. If you buy one of these, get ready to pay for shipping on 7
pounds of orange rubber HV potting. About the only thing useful if you
get one of these and its dead are 2 mirror mount assemblies that bolt

Spectrophotometer questions....01 Dec 2004 19:04 GMT2
Slightly off topic, but if anybody knows, they're in this group...
Having never used one of these pieces of equipment, I wonder what this spec
means? We are faced with the task of matching the color of two different
pieces of plastic and the variariation can be no more than " 2 ...
