I'm converting my SEMs for digital image acquisistion. I'll be starting
with an ISI Mini-SEM. I have the wiring diagram, but it falls short of
complete schematic as it does not detail the internals of the many
"modules".

I asked about this a few days ago with absolutely positively no
response.  Someone must have seen one of these or used one or
something. :)
Just trying again if anyone knows anything about these lasers.

Who, by any chanche has oslo optics pro?

An electronics surplus store in Oz has Lexel model 65 laser heads for sale.
They say about 165 mw at 488nm.  These appear to be quite oldish but good.
Any experience???? They don't have a power supply. Can someone tell me what
type of supply they might need or will I have to find ...

I was wondering if we were able to zoom in to things as far as we wanted,
what would be beyond the atom, and beyond that etc etc? Just how far could
we go...would we ever stop finding things or would we hit a point of
nothingness?

I wonder if anyone might have some tips to help me out here. I'm
attempting to take some digital photomicrographs and I'm not getting
very good results. I am getting images but they appear out of focus.
The resolution is nowhere near what I'm seeing down the eyepieces. I

It's focal distance of the lens: 1/12 (inch) something like 100x (but
depending on tubelength). There was a time they really thought it was
advantageous to go for very high objective mags (up to 1/50"),
nowadays only scopes like the Ergonom500 use that trick.

I'm considering disposing of my Zeiss Axioskop DIC metallurgical
scope to be in harmony with my Oly BX-51 transmitted scope.

I need a FC/PC fiber connector with an inner hole diameter of 125um. I want
to couple from a standard single mode fiber with a core diameter of 9um to a
single mode fiber with a core diameter of 3um. The FC/PC connector that I
put on the small core fiber had a ferrule inner hole ...

I have a Canon G3 and Zeiss NU2 (standard 23.2 mm eyepiece + a bayonet
like classic camera mount). A brief surch of the net showed a rather
big number of solutions for afocal (my camera lense is permanently
attached) photography (adapters, holders etc.)

Why do Nomarski DIC sliders have to be matched to particular
objectives? What is being matched? Is this a Zeiss peculiarity?
I've experimented with mine and find I get the best DIC image when the
slider is used with the exact objective it is designed for but it also
