I need help to designe a selfmade xenon lamp pumped dye laser.
Characteristics:
-dye tube 48cm @ 8mm innert diameter
-illuminated is 30cm -> 15cm^3 @ 50mm^2
Laser Safety Dilemma16 Apr 2005 22:42 GMT1
10 years ago, my retinas became detached in a road traffic accident.
I have lost a little of my central vision in one eye.  This doesnt
affect
everyday life.
Very Powerful Green Laser Pointer16 Apr 2005 15:23 GMT4
This extremely powerful Green Laser Pointer is visible over 2 miles
away. Its perfect for pointing at starts and planets. The green beam is
actually visible through the air.

T-bar diode SP16 Apr 2005 13:19 GMT1
I'd like to know if anyone out there knows the exact
emitter distance of the laser diode of a t-bar module
from spectra-physics.
These are used in a T-80 lasersystem with b-head.
What is this?16 Apr 2005 12:54 GMT1
Anyone have any idea of what this is?
It looks like there's some sort of objectives on it.
Is it worth more than than $99.00?

Kodak MDS 100 Camera16 Apr 2005 06:49 GMT3
I discovered Kodak no longer supports this optical microscopy tool. I
upgraded to WinXP Pro. Kodak software will not interface with XP. Is
there a workaround? There is nothing broken on the hardware side of the
camera.
help finding 3-5 watt DPSS lasers15 Apr 2005 07:40 GMT9
Can anyone suggest any place(s) to find good prices on
3-5 watt 532nm DPSS lasers?
Thanks,

Combining multiple pen lasers 4mW to burn paper is this possible15 Apr 2005 03:27 GMT4
Greetings, All
Is it possible to combine multiple pen lasers angled down at one point (around 4mw) to burn paper?
What wattage is needed for a laser to burn paper?
TIA

What external coolling is required for a gas or diode laser
Sellmeier coeff. for Schott F214 Apr 2005 19:30 GMT15
I am searching for the Sellmeier coeff. or the refracting index for the
Schott F2 glas in the range from 1000nm to 2500nm. I have to calculate
the angle in a 30° prisma.

Help collimating 2W DPSS system14 Apr 2005 19:20 GMT1
I've got a ~2W DPSS laser system here that I'd like to use in a
projector.  It works great, but has terrible divergence.  I know I could
use a telescope to increase the beam size and reduce the divergence, but
I'd like to try and keep the beam <3mm so I can use a set of Cambridge ...
Siemens LGK-7638 Ne-Ne14 Apr 2005 17:53 GMT17
Hi brothers of the Light!
:-)
someone know if this Laser (Siemens\Lasos) is polarized?
I can use it for holography?
Microlenses in CCD14 Apr 2005 17:43 GMT4
Hi, All
There're CCDs with and without microlensing array.
Microlensing improves Qeff by the factor of 5-10.
Does microlensing influence any way on image quality (MTF, Encircled energy)

Very strong stellar winds can produce plasma recombination lasers.
Rapidly cooling hot plasmas can generate a population inversion.
