What is a diffraction order?31 May 2005 23:30 GMT3
But I came across the term "diffraction order" in literature, and I don't
know what it means.
Does it refer to the areas of diffraction maxima (as in the sin(x)/x
Fraunhoffer pattern)?  As in the large central maxima would be zeroth order,
Holography setup?31 May 2005 22:27 GMT1
After years of not having lab-space, it looks like I might have space again
soon. I'm guessing that most of my holography equipment is hopelessly
outdated (early 90's) and I want to start from scratch.
So, if one were to start up a lab and had a couple of thousand dollars to
Zerodur31 May 2005 20:56 GMT1
I have a qty of Zerodur blanks available. Any interest?
Does this exist? <= .01% @ 365nm, > 90% @ 400nm31 May 2005 19:12 GMT4
I am looking for an optical filter for a flourescence experiment. The
excitation wavelength is 365nm, and the emission wavelengths are
between 400 and 500nm. I would like to find a filter for the receving
optics which blocks 365nm (less than .01% transmission) and passes
repair dpss YAG laser head31 May 2005 14:39 GMT3
Dear all, I have 12 laser machines need to repair the laser head.
The brand of laser head is CEO. And the power is 50W. Now the output is
not strong as before. So I need to repair it. Who can teel me where I
can fix it and the price?
MAC protocols31 May 2005 13:47 GMT1
Hello, guys,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, so forgive me if I'm
offtopic.
I've been studying media access control (MAC) protocols for wavelength
Looking For A Lens31 May 2005 13:25 GMT6
Does anyone know of a source of small, very light weight plastic lenses?
Particularly plano-concave lenses? Thanks.

About laser cavity length31 May 2005 00:06 GMT3
I'd like to ask your opinion about something I've seen
using a program simulating a standing wave resonator.
Aparently when length goes down under a certain limit,
suddenly the beam diameter in the cavity drops down
aspheric lenses with 200mm diameter30 May 2005 23:42 GMT1
I'm looking for large aspheric lenses with a diameter of 200 mm.
If you know someone capable of doing it.
SV.
Generating light for video camera30 May 2005 21:55 GMT2
So I have video camera that works well with light but when there is
close to zero to no light the image is dark (figure that).
I want to know if I can put some type of light/emitter that is invisible
to the human eye but the camara can use to see the dark area?
Just bought a Wow....!30 May 2005 20:57 GMT2
I just bought a Digital Blue from Dick Smiths. It seems to me more for kids
than to be taken seriously (I should have reaklized this since it was by the
mecanno).
I just wanted something to photograph the two spotted mites etc on the
sundogs vs rainbows30 May 2005 16:04 GMT9
would someone please explain why the innermost visible color ring of a
sundog is red while that of a rainbow is violet?  The only consistancy I can
think of is that the ring closest to the sun has the longest wavelengths.
thanks
Update on IMO Varo30 May 2005 09:53 GMT2
Sam Goldwasser asked me to provide more details on the Varo Cr:Er:Glass
eyesafe laser range-finder, so I decided to visit IMO Varo's offices in
Garland to see if I could beg, borrow, steal or otherwise acquire some
documentation on it from them. It had been a few years since I last

Does anybody know where can i buy the LCD panel which is used to

Thank you!
