Question about capacitor for violet laser diode31 Mar 2007 02:24 GMT14
Can i put 22uF tantalum? I don't have 16 uF. Thanx!
AFM, price info31 Mar 2007 01:56 GMT4
I'm considering AFM for our diatom analyses on our inverted Olympus
IX70. I do not have direkt expererience with this technique. Is it
easy/quick to change back and forth from optical to AFM mode? How
quickly can you capture an image?
Wanted- Single Phase Lamp Driver for YAG marking system i'm building30 Mar 2007 22:36 GMT13

KDP2 support30 Mar 2007 20:20 GMT2
Support for KDP2 might be slow again for a while. Last Friday my back
and siatic nerve problems came back like gamg busters really bad. I
see the doctor tomorrow.
I am trying to make a fix to the re-alignment optimization in the
Green Filter30 Mar 2007 08:12 GMT6
I have a microscope which came with a blue and a green filter. I use the blue to
create a white background. I can find anyone that knows what you would use the
green filter for. Any help?
Ultra cheep violet laser diode!30 Mar 2007 07:29 GMT93
its been a long time since I posted here, but this may be
of some interest!
I recently purchased, for the princely sum of around £40 UKP, a
replacement Laser reader assembly, for a Sony Playstation-3, With the
Bandwidth of a diffraction grating?30 Mar 2007 07:10 GMT2
Does the diffracted mode of a diffraction grating that is being
illuminated by laser light have a bandwidth?  I understand that the
spectral line has a line width spatially, but what about in terms of
frequency.
how to get a crisp circle of light30 Mar 2007 06:49 GMT13
Pardon my non-optics language - I am a product designer by profession
and need your help/guidance. Currently designing a special purpose
Flashlight based on 1W Lumiled LED (beam angle-125). My concern is to
get a very uniform spot of bright light of about 50 mm at a distance
ECDL to excited K atoms30 Mar 2007 02:12 GMT1
Sorry to ask another question in such quick succession.
I need to have some details on the excited p states in Pottasium.
Bassically I want to know the natural decay time so I can work out
their frequency linewidth  so I can workout the required bandwidth of
Optical pickup for Prop Balancer29 Mar 2007 18:29 GMT5
I'm trying to develop a prop balancer for small planes, but I can't seem to make
a decent optical pickup.  Other companies make such balancers, so I know it is
possible. Following the practice of the other prop balancers, I want to place a
piece of reflective tape on the back of the ...
Raytracing of a particular product.29 Mar 2007 16:29 GMT7
Hi sci.optics readers,
Has anyone already simulated a Carclo condenser for Luxeon LEDs with an
OptiCAD software like Zemax ? I can't find a mechanical drawing or a
ready-to-use optical model of this device which looks tricky. The
Wanted ASAP: GSI G325 Galvo motor!29 Mar 2007 13:50 GMT2
I know there's one guy in this group that will respond to this post,
even if he says he doesn't have one (hi Doug!)!
I really need a G325 Galvo motor ASAP.  Specifically I have a G325 DT
but I'm not sure if that DT really means anything.
Augmenting laser rod output?29 Mar 2007 05:19 GMT4
Perhaps a silly question.
Has anyone heard of research to enhance solid state laser output by creating
an electron flow within the rod?
LiNb exhibits some superconductive properties at low temperatures.
Darkfield Condenser28 Mar 2007 17:20 GMT5
I recently bought an M Series microscope  (Model BM-100FL). I want to
get a darkfield condenser to look at live cells, but I'm having
trouble determining which would be the correct one to buy. The
specifications provided in my manual indicate:
