| Help with light-gathering ability | 29 Apr 2007 04:01 GMT | 6 |
Hello, I hope you'll indulge my layman's language and help with a current project using lenses that are small, between 5mm and 10mm. I'm trying to find out what shaped lens, for a given diameter, will have the maximum amount of light gathering ability (to ultimately be

| can you suggest a reliable diode laser source? | 26 Apr 2007 16:41 GMT | 2 |
I need a diode laser with low power such as 30 mW around 580nm. When used in cavity-lock scheme it should have a tunable range about 100GHz (or minimum 50GHz) by tuning a single parameter. My questions are: are they exist, where can I buy them (price for 2-5), can I lock it with

| References for high-speed (>GHz) testing of photodetectors | 26 Apr 2007 00:28 GMT | 10 |
(My apologies if this shows up twice. My system glitched as I was sending it, and I'm not sure it went out.) I need to do some high-speed (>GHz) testing of some visible-light photodetectors, including building the test setup.
