I have the following problem with one of my Melles Griot GS58 series
Laser. This is an old unit where I was able to pick up a Laser diode
and replaced the defective one.
Now I can not get over 7.83A and a Laser Voltage of 1.92V. The Laser

Anyone know of an accurate uv light meter for measuring through
eyeglasses?

I am looking for data or graphs on convenient color filters available to
hobbyists. Like Wratten filters that might be available at a camera shop
or gelatin filters that might be available in a theater supply house for
stage lighting.

I am in possession of a hughes laser but i cannot find any data
concerning it.  It is labeled as follows:
Hughes Electronic Dynamic Division
Model 30528 serial no.  c8002

Hi, picked up a ILT 5500ABL-00-ACL off of craigslist today. Paid $40
for it No power supply. The little mercury meter reads about 3500
hours. The guy I got it from got it in a lot of dental equip. So
hopefully is has spent most of its life sitting at idle current.

The recent postings on the Wild M5 caught my attention as I'm about to
start trying to use the zoom optics module of a Wild M420. Could not
afford a complete stereo stand ;>(
But it will be used exclusively with a camera and monocular viewport,

Just a simple/complex question.. what is the best way to make the
terribly divergent beam from a laser diode into a usable one? I've
heard everything from anamorphic prizms to grin lenses to cylindrical
lenses and sometimes they seem to be able to do it with 1 lens. I

What is -- or should be -- the antonym of 'evanescent' *in optics*?
