laserdrive ps9600 power supply schematics&service manual30 Jun 2008 19:21 GMT2
Hi, could somebody help me to get schematics and/or service manual for
a laserdrive ps9600 power supply?
This power supply is discontinued but I need to repair 3 or 4 of it. I
´m leaving in Argentina and is very dificult and expensive (because
How to prepare micro-organisms for aesthetic purpose ?30 Jun 2008 15:50 GMT8
I'm new here with a microscope Bresser Biolux A - 20 X 1280.
I wanted to see micro-organism for example in rotten water as I did when I
was young, with a cheaper machine.
I took some forgotten, dirty water in a square nearby, but the only thing I
Hi Everyone, questions about cyonics/uniphase 2201-4030 Jun 2008 13:22 GMT10
I'm new here, as this is my first post. I post regularly at the laser
pointer forum, but there seems to be much more knowledge on gas lasers
here.
Anyway, I was lucky enough to score a C/U 2201-40 multi-line argon
Identifying BD/HD optical pickup28 Jun 2008 00:12 GMT12
Can anyone identify a make and model for this pickup and/or player or burner
this may have originated?
The only markings on the PCB are "BD/HDP" and rev.

Sam RULES ! :-)27 Jun 2008 21:57 GMT5
Thanks, Sam Goldwasser for re-aligning my ailing Argon Laser !  You
diagnosed, adjusted, aligned, and generally did  the magic you do so
well !  To anyone reading this, you should know that Sam is a real
person - he is super nice, patient beyond belief, and knowledgeable
Feather tracks in lens coatings - any preventative?27 Jun 2008 13:55 GMT24
Feather tracks in lens coatings - any preventative?
Slightly off topic as this lens coating is on a camera lens, and I haven't yet
seen such damage on any of my own microscope lenses.
Under the microscope these tracks look like a powdered hoare frost in the
f-number of integrating sphere27 Jun 2008 08:30 GMT4
I wonder why there is not much more integrating sphere in spectroscopy
measurements like diffuse reflectance (in the near infrared for example)
or scattering (like Raman scattering). Aren' this devices thebest to
collect much of the liht ?
laser cutting27 Jun 2008 03:13 GMT3
What kind of lasers are used for laser cuting, i mean the kind of laser
cutters
for small jobs and/or (well heeled) hobbyists?
CO2? Solid State but what kind?
Hi Guys.  Providing an eBay Alternative?  www.razorbid.com.au26 Jun 2008 15:54 GMT3
I in no way have the intension of spamming this group.  I've just come
to make a point here.
As we all know eBay is changing alot, most people are begining to get
annoyed and just frustrated at eBay with their changes, fee's and
inexpensive binoculars hard to position for non-black view (exit-pupil?)24 Jun 2008 16:27 GMT6
(This (inexpensive) pair of binoculars (that's redundant, no?)
      bi (n) oculars
already says "two", doesn't it?  So why "pair"?)

What determines the length of the cavity?24 Jun 2008 16:00 GMT6
Say I wanted to build a laser that produces a wavelength of 1064nm.
Naturally I choose Nd:YAG because of its flouresence at that
wavelength.  What factors go into deciding the length of the cavity
and what is the optimum lenght?   I understand that a cavity can
Diffraction grating24 Jun 2008 04:07 GMT1
I'm building a spectroscope, the plans call for a grating with 13,400 lines
per inch.
I see Edmunds has grating sheets with 25,400 lines per inch.
How will this affect the spectroscope?
Is it possible to build an x-ray laser that emits 10^-15 meters wavelength of light?23 Jun 2008 00:59 GMT7
Is it possible to build an x-ray laser that emits photons that are
10^-15 meters in wavelength?
The link below states that 10^-15 m is the shortest known wavelength of
EM radiation.
