Nd:YAG jitter and Q-switch delay07 Jul 2008 15:20 GMT2
I hope someone can help me out.  We have a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser
system.
If we measure the optical jitter (w.r.t to Q-switch signal) at maximum
energy (shortest flashlamp/Q-switch delay) then the jitter is low
Graphing a Spectrum07 Jul 2008 05:33 GMT12
I have a client with a need to make some non-precision measurements
that will allow him to draw comparison graphs of the visible spectrum
from certain brands of LEDs, light bulbs, mercury lamps, etc.  I am
hoping to buy something rather than making it.  What is the rock-bottom
Polarized lenses06 Jul 2008 18:59 GMT3
The site below has polarized glasses. The info says lenses mounted at
45/135 or 0/90 degree angles. What's that all about, why one angle over the
other?
                                         Thanks, Mike
laser diode impedance06 Jul 2008 05:36 GMT4
I'm trying to directly modulate a diode at 1.25GHz. It comes
connectorized with an SMA connector (for ease of modulation). In the
process of looking at improving eye quality I measured the load
impedance of the diode (Smith chart measurements), and I don't yet
Polarization angle04 Jul 2008 13:59 GMT4
I've started to work in the optics lab and one of my task is to
polarize laser beam in my experimental setup.
However I need to be sure that the polarization is in the plane of my
table.
Motic, Bresser03 Jul 2008 20:17 GMT8
Has anyone ever tried the microscopes made by Motic and Bresser? They should
be made in China but they don't seems crappy at all.
Besides, one can always buy more expensive optics to replace the standard
ones.
High attenuation with multimode fibers02 Jul 2008 16:58 GMT9
I have a problem with multimode fibers. The attenuation of the fibers
is about 1.5 db/km @ 1300nm and about 3.2 db/km @ 850 nm.
I haven't had such a problem before. Normally, the attenuation of the
fibers is less then 0.6 dB/km @ 1300nm and less then 2.4 dB/km @ 850
Which IR sensor card do you suggest?02 Jul 2008 12:54 GMT3
Hi to all,
in our lab we have had for many years some IR sensor card from Quantex.
Right now some of them have been lost and the only one that I have in my
hands is ruined by a decade or more of use. It is a Quantex Q-something
WTD - JDSUniphase 2110U-SLCPEB Argon PSU Schematics??02 Jul 2008 05:14 GMT4
I know it's a long shot but:-
I have a JDSUniphase 2110U-SLCPEB Argon Power Supply that has a fault on the
main board. The Main Board reference number is: Laser Drive Inc 010-00339-0A
I was wondering if anyone would be so very kind as to supply me with a
Cyonics/Uniphase 2201-40ML problems :(02 Jul 2008 04:59 GMT2
Sam !  I got in the Argon today, let it get to room temp, them warmed
it up :-)  It lases almost beautifully, but - the output looks
"smeared" like there is a smudge on the output mirror or
something....any ideas on what to check for ?  I opened it up to
Smallest(brightest) Led of the market01 Jul 2008 20:35 GMT1
Hello I am looking for the Red LED with smallest chip size of the
market nowadays. I found that the the sellers webpages are very
embarrassing to search this. Once I have found the smallest leds I
would like to know th which is the most bright ot of them.
Police helicopter laser case - 4 months jail01 Jul 2008 09:31 GMT6
The Manchester man who shone a £30 laser pen into a police helicopter
has been jailed for 4 months.

HEYYYYY SAM01 Jul 2008 04:20 GMT7
A mom and dad in Akron are going to ask you to help their son via
email with a video inverter circuit for a science project.  Please
help them out as my medical problems are keeping me busy right now and
I cant handle my existing work load, plus the kids I'm already
Vicor power supply01 Jul 2008 01:59 GMT1
i'm interested to buy this power supply: Vicor model VI-LUZ-CU 40A at 2
volts. Anyone know if the current is adjustable? and in which range?
here i find the datasheet:

sdl site01 Jul 2008 01:56 GMT3
i'm looking for the datasheet/spec-tech of this laser diode sdl-3450 anyone
know where i can find it? and the url of sdl ( Spectra Diode Labs )? anyone
know it?
Thanks for the help.
