carboxymethyl chitosan24 May 2004 11:34 GMT1
I am looking for methods to make N,O-carboxymethyl chitosan.  I have
found one in an expired US patent and another in a 20 year old journal
article.  Just wondering if anyone knows of more recent published
methods or could forward a copy.  Thanks!

What incubator can keep 21-23 degrees C, and hold open containers    of water, without dying?23 May 2004 09:38 GMT1
I am keeping a largish colony of flatworms (planaria). They live in open
tupperware containers and need to be between 21 to 23 degrees Celcius. The
temp of our lab varies (the AC system is shut off at night), so I got an
incubator. The thing died after a year and a half, and I was ...

Praying Mantises - Project Ideas?19 May 2004 04:04 GMT2
I have been stumped on experiment ideas for a long time, I have an
investigation called "Investigation into the Ecological Niche of an
Organism". I am going to do my experiment on praying mantises but I have
no ideas. I have tried a number of ideas but they were either too hard
applying QuantumDuality of plant to animal kingdom on robins to  earthworms to plants18 May 2004 19:30 GMT2
Yesterday an interesting question came to my mind about robins and
earthworms and plants and trees. Some of you already know that I have
been building a theory of Quantum Duality and Complimentarity of the
Plant kingdom of biology with the Animal Kingdom of biology. Call it the

Treat fat cells like tumors and starve them by cutting off their blood
supply. Clever. No blood vessels to feed the fat, and it will die.
ATP EXTRACTION; ATPASE INHIBITORS10 May 2004 15:23 GMT2
I will be really gratefull if somebody tell how extract ATP from human
cells.
There is also another problem with ATPases - so after extraction we
should use ATPases inhibitors.
Stem Cells Deliver Genes Better10 May 2004 03:38 GMT3
I just read this article:

Thusfar I've seen regenerative medicine (stem cells) and recombinant
medicine (gene therapy) as two very promising but separate branches of
we have a _picture_ of the actual Jesus person from Shroud of Turrin  (spelling)06 May 2004 13:27 GMT20
Tonight I sped home in order not to miss a PBS show "Secrets of the
Dead" about the Shroud that is alleged to be of Jesus. Radiocarbon
dating saying it was a 14th century cloth is now seen as erroneous. In
fact a textile expert says that this cloth is similar to Masada cloth of

Hmm, science seems to now be uncovering facts which most males have
been programmed with for ages: big-breasted women with hourglass
