Atomic Force Microscopes seem like an increasingly available tool, so

So how can so few genes make such complicated things as ourselves? On
the bright side, perhaps that will make the genetic puzzle easier for

Read this:

Hmm, I guess that's why they call it junk DNA.
But regarding concerns about other possible reasons for junk DNA --

hot sauce14 Oct 2004 14:36 GMT4
Why is it that hot sauce tastes hot? I've heard that it's related to
our taste buds not being able to properly "taste" the oils in hot
peppers. Is this true?
Do teachers use live organisms anymore?14 Oct 2004 10:21 GMT1
It seems that school curricula are venturing away from hands-on activities in
the sciences, and the scientific/biological usenets have few related postings.

Telepathy Question11 Oct 2004 22:09 GMT2
My friend and I have sort of a bet going on. It concerns money and it
goes like this. I would propose to prove that we are telepathic or, at
least, can be. The theory is that there is electromagnetic energy
being radiated from our brains at discrete frequencies somewhat like
