Just to let those kind folks who aided me with botanical information for my
initial botanical  illustration entry that I successfully made it through
the selection process and will now be exhibited in Sydney Aus during May
this year.

I am wondering why cereals such as oats and wheat need to be planted
every year, at expense (labour and machinery).  The grass on my lawn
seems to keep growing from year to year, even after cutting.
Does wheat die after ripening and forming seed?  Even if the plants

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good botanical dictionary.  I am
mainly interested in one for plant morphology/taxonomy term and most of
the ones I have seen are "plant sciences" dictionaries that have a lot
of current molecular biology terms but not a lot of the older terms ...

Hi,  I'm not a vegetation person (alas!), but could someone give me an
example of a tree that has neither fruit nor flowers (I presume all
such trees would have to produce asexually, if not then I'd like to
know ones in either category)?  I'd really appreciate it.
