I was reading about this species and said it was rare. How rare is it? Do nurseries have this species? Do they mean it is rare in forests but easy to find in nurseries?

Stunning! A neighbors crabapple tree is in bloom. It is a cultivar of Hopi malus crabapple. Most of its leaves have fallen and I see pink-red-white blooms. Has anyone else observed such plant activity? Is it the global warming that has tricked the tree into the metabolism of

Hi again folks, Here's a link to my vote for single coolest plant I've ever seen. I've tentatively named "her" Lucille -- definitely a punker plant. Obviously an Apocynad, maybe a Larryleachia??? Photographed in Goegap

A few years ago I found this plant near Ibadan, Nigeria, apparently parasitic (since only non-chlorophyllous parts seem to come above the soil surface). It was in a mixed orchard of Theobroma cacao and Cola nitida, so I presume it was parasitizing the roots of one or the other,

As some protoza contain chloroplasts, does this not make them more animal than plant?
