When I polish electroless nickel, I use either a diamond slurry in
mineral oil or  aluminum oxide slurry in water.  After polishing with
diamond and producing a mirror finish, I clean with a soap solution.

We painted our newly cleaned 45-yr-old concrete floor with the Kemiko
Rembrandt polymer stain and it is still tacky 2 days later!  Is there
any hope for it to eventually dry?  Any ideas of a clear surface
application that will harden it enough to move furniture back?  HELP!!!

Apart from impurities, does isopropyl alcohol leave any residue after
it has evaporated?
Also, does ethyl alcohol leave any residue?
