I am trying to do a reverse stain on a SDS-PAGE by first using .2M Imidazole and then .3M Zinc Chloride. I can't get the ZnCl2 to go into solution. I have tried heating and even bought a new bottle of ZnCl2. Any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone know a good way to find amounts of RuBP and Ru5P in a solution? I've been trying TLC with a molybdate spray and doing positive controls, but all I get is a huge blue smear all over the chromatogram. Is there any other way to do this? TIA.
