The Scientific Community And The Yellow Brick Road To Fantasy Land01 Aug 2006 00:48 GMT3
An examination of this video
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7750532340306101329
reveals that the collapse of WTC 7 started at second 17 and completedat
second 23. That is a total of 6 seconds.
"Closed" Cycle Internal Reaction Engines31 Jul 2006 19:55 GMT77
Instead of using an equilibrium reaction like 3H2 + N2 <=> 2 NH3 to
heat a boiler maybe there are fast reacting chemicals you could feed to
the intake of what would otherwise be an internal combustion engine.
Eliminate the large heat transfer surface areas of vapor power cycles.
How to produce neutronium?31 Jul 2006 19:49 GMT38
Neutronium is an element consisting of more than one neutron, w/out any
protons or electrons. How do I generate it?
Thanks,

Low boiling point / environmentally safe?31 Jul 2006 18:08 GMT3
Can anyone recommend a liquid with a low boiling point (Between 35-45
degrees F) that would not be environmentally destructive or dangerous
if spilled into the ground?
Cheminformatics31 Jul 2006 16:20 GMT2
Anyone knows anything about this area (Cheminformatics)?
Nanotechnology is the ultimate cure31 Jul 2006 13:38 GMT206
Yes. Nanotech is the cure for almost everything. It can make life
eternal and can keep each and every portion of the brain eternally
active at peak metabolic rate.
GO NANO!!!!!!!
Working of a Null Fluorometer31 Jul 2006 06:38 GMT6

Passivation of 303 Stainless Steel30 Jul 2006 22:05 GMT7
I am having problems passivating several parts manufactured out of 303
Stainless Steel.  The parts are grit blasted and then moved to our
passivation process which has clean, rinse, passivate (Nitric Acid),
rinse, and dry cycles.  We are seeing what appear to be water marks

Thinking About Metallic Oxygen...30 Jul 2006 20:10 GMT7
Warning: I got a B in high school chemistry 20 years ago
I came across the wikipedia article on tetraoxygen (O4) and it
mentioned that at 96 GPa, "oxygen undergoes another phase transition
and becomes metallic."  What exactly does that mean?  If you compress
Outdoor flown electrical cable30 Jul 2006 16:02 GMT14
I'm new here, so this may be a stupid question or in the wrong group,
but can anyone help with the following.....

having psychotic laughing fits.  Does anyone know what could be causing
this problem?

Questions about activity series30 Jul 2006 01:31 GMT7
Sorry about the previous empty post. Stupid ENTER key!!!!!
I am puzzled about something I observed the other day. I took 2g of
CaH2PO4 (0-48-0  fertilizer) and dissolved it in 100g of water. So far,
so good. I expected this to yield CA+ H3O+ and PO4-3 ions in solution.
