Under what conditions does 2+2=5?29 Apr 2008 00:07 GMT18
It's become a common meme in politics; but when does it happen in reality?
Certain quantities of gas can combine to make 2+2=5 a reality; what are
the other circumstances, if any?

Readable fingerprints transfering from metal to paper?28 Apr 2008 04:24 GMT6
Writing a script and wanted to know if readable fingerprints could be
transferred from a gun that's been wrapped in paper (just standard paper).

City Halts Use of Pure Biodiesel Fuel27 Apr 2008 16:43 GMT2
People who like to worry badly need more things to worry about. By
definition biodiesel is bio-degradable. To a lesser extent so is
petroleum. Microbial evolution and symbiosis can exceed our rate of
adaption. Hence we die of disease. What are you going to do when the
Extrusion of an inorganic paste -- how to develop a new product?27 Apr 2008 00:54 GMT10
We are a small company that makes various formed products including an
inorganic oxide-based extrudate. That process works fine. But we are
interested in making a new extrudate based on a different mix of
oxides. We know this stuff will perform well because a competitor is
What is the mechanism for decomposition of H2O2 ?27 Apr 2008 00:10 GMT24
I know H2O2 dissociates into two OH. radicals. But how does it go on
from here? Presumably it is the same answer as what happens at the
anode in the electrolysis of pure water. Is it
OH. +OH. <-> HOH + O..

removing alcohol from gas for airplane24 Apr 2008 21:35 GMT3
Follow up on thread here.  Friend that worked at refinery said aviation
gas is very high octane.  To use lower octane gas, even if free of
alcohol would cause problems.  Not a good idea.
As for you boaters, you can probably use gas made for cars.
