Best Adhesive for Gluing Polyester Labels to Plastic30 Jun 2008 21:56 GMT7
What are the best commercial adhesives for gluing polyester labels to
plastic?    My application requires tolerance of temperature between -20 F
and +150 F.
This is a low volume application so I would appreciate commercial brand
Is there a material that gets heavier when heated?30 Jun 2008 03:58 GMT5
I am looking for a material that will get heavier when heated BUT cool
back down to regular weight when not exposed to the heat.  Is there
such a thing.  I am a non-chemistry person, as you can tell.
Thanks in advance.
Hydrogen for cars29 Jun 2008 20:56 GMT11
The main value of hydrogen  is at its endpoint of use in a fuel cell. The
considerable difficulties of manufacture, storage, transport and safety
probably rule out its practical use in bulk,  except as a political
boondoggle.

be really appreciated.

I have to use this autoclave. There are four keys. I know that 2 are
for 134 degrees and 2 are for 121 degrees. I`m interested in 121
degrees: which is the difference between the 2 keys of 121 degrees?
How long a cycle of 121 degrees last? I shoul do 2 autoclaving cycles
"Demasking" -- is this a real chemical process??28 Jun 2008 05:25 GMT6
There is a lot of BS around so called "Black Sands" that some people
claim contain huge amounts of gold, platinum, palladium, etc.
But they also claim you can't get it out unless you use some
"mystery", "secret", "proprietary" process to unlock the stuff.

Why can't we manufacture oil?26 Jun 2008 07:05 GMT8
I know nothing about chemistry. This question just occurred to me and
I thought you dudes might have the answer.
I'm just wondering if oil (as in the stuff that is heading for $200 a
barrel) can be manufactured in a lab/factory? It's just hydrogen,

Home water supply test demonstration25 Jun 2008 00:22 GMT4
How difficult is it to test a home water supply (city water) for
contaminants?  There have been some issues with our cities' water, and
I am curious as to what exactly is in it.
I've heard there are test kits available, but I don't know how
Help! Need manual for Coning MP-8S water still24 Jun 2008 21:07 GMT1
Hi folks. Our very small chem department at our very small university
just bought a used Corning MP-8S water still. It's in good shape but
we need the manual. We've done a web search and come up with nothing
useful. Apparently Corning sold the product line and the new owners

lactose and Fehling essay24 Jun 2008 10:13 GMT5
Hi and sorry again,
inorganic chemistry is now "past" (I passed my exam) while I'll have
to repeat in July the organic chemistry part.
One of the questions I found in the exam was about what happens to
