Q: Wheat worms and ramen noodles27 Jan 2004 13:09 GMT3

Just curious.

taxonomic significance of the name in a family of beetles  (e.g..,
Nicarete albovittipennis, Nicarete holorufa, Nicarete cineraria).

Why are insects so small? Can humans sprout wings?04 Jan 2004 10:49 GMT21
Ever see sci-fi movies where alien critters look like giant insects?
Now, why can't insects be as big as mammals?
Or were they once but big ones all died out. If so, why?
Or is there something in the dna of insects that limits their size?

Last November and the beginning of December we drove down to western Mexico.
We spent one day in Casa Aduana, near Alamos, then continued to Mazatlan
where we met Paul and Evi Opler.  We spent the next week with them,
butterflying the outskirts of Mazatlan and the Durango Highway.  ...

Insect experts, I would like to request the use of your well-
trained eye for a moment. You need not remove them. ;-)
