Looking for : Microbes to convert glycerol to ethanol or glucose30 Jun 2004 19:52 GMT1
Hi folks..
I'm looking for a way to convert glycerol to ethanol or glucose.  Is this
possible with the use of yeast or bacteria?  I'm sure there must be a
strain of microorganism that should be able to do this for me.

We have problems with the interpretation of a simple experiment. Maybe
someone can give us a little help.
About 20 ml E.coli K12 culture was filtrated carefully through a

the organelles, they do not explain their role in survival. i.e respiration

Need help making thin slices for a slide...11 Jun 2004 07:51 GMT3
I'm working on a project about lichen symbiosis, and I'm trying to
prepare slides of the lichen thallus for investigation. Unfortunately, I
can't get the slices thin enough to view properly. I need slices a few
cells thick, nearly transparent. I'm using one of those flimsy steel

Evolution is wishful thinking01 Jun 2004 02:56 GMT2
Don't blindly accept the unfounded "theory of evolution" as fact just because it
was forced to be printed in our school's textbooks. The facts are obvious.
Judge for yourself how absurd this theory really is.
