I am trying to grow E.coli in M56 salt medium supplemented with glucose
by picking a colony from 2-3 days old E.coli SM agar plate and
incubating in 10 ml of  M56 o/n at 37 degress and 187 rpm as mentioned
in literature.But i am not getting OD (550nm)=2 after o/n incubation as

At the risk of offending anyone for trying to get "other people to do
my research," I was wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions of
good places to study microbiology or virology for a PhD.

LOL OK I think that i've just found out that my cooking skills or lack
of reflects directly on my ability to pour my own culture plates.
I had a local supplier deliver me a 100ml bottle of nutrient Agar Gel
and a 20ml bottle of Horse blood. Followed the instructions exactly and
