PHYLIP and DNADIST30 Jun 2007 03:01 GMT1
I was wondering about DNADIST, from the PHYLIP package.
I am conducting a big sequencing project and there will be several phases. I
would like to construct a distance matrix using DNADIST with a initial
dataset and later on only add more sequences to the set. but I didn't want
aminoacids and bacterial growth24 Jun 2007 16:31 GMT1
Is it possible to consider that some specific aminoacid are fundamentally
essentials to (all) bacterial metabolism ? I am trying to interpret the
growth of bacterial strains (lactic and non-lactic) with different peptones

Completely frozen dormant states01 Jun 2007 03:33 GMT7
1) What is different about bacteria as compared to multicellular
organisms that enable them to be frozen through and through, while
remaining alive in a dormant state?
