Global Climate Models - Limitations?30 Jun 2007 22:58 GMT9
From what I have read, GCMs have these limitations:
1 - Water vapor is not accounted for.
2 - Feedback systems are just being introduced and exhibit a lack of
sophistication currently.
What am I missing?30 Jun 2007 19:34 GMT4
If all mass can theoretically be converted into energy and vice versa
(E=mc^2) and light has no mass, then wouldn't it be contradictory if
you could convert mass to energy (light energy for this example) on an
object that exerts gravity and then you "beam" this light energy to a
Newton's words considering gravity- with which I totally agree30 Jun 2007 19:04 GMT10
In a letter to Richard Bentley:
You sometimes speak of gravity as essential & inherent to matter; pray
do not ascribe that notion to me, for ye cause of gravity is what I do
not pretend to know, & therefore would take more time to consider of

was Pitagoras theorem created in Big Bang?
or it existed "before" Big Bang ?
God Does Play Dice With the Universe: A Startling New Picture of the World30 Jun 2007 17:51 GMT1
A new popular science book God Does Play Dice With the Universe will
be published this year. The book will reveal a deep secret of nature
for the first time. It is that every thing in the universe, no matter
it is an atom or a ball or even a star, jumps in a random and

Observation creates the universe--but only one universe.30 Jun 2007 14:57 GMT3
I mentioned in my last post that a recent experiment worked better
when it was assumed that a yet to be observed particle existed in a
randomized state.
When I observe and therefore cause a real particle to be measured I
Low-Budget life and science30 Jun 2007 10:54 GMT1
I think, that a low-budget life ist just that what is needed, if  you
wanna do something that you love, without always feeling pressure.
Pressure is definitely something (according to my experience), that
destroys creativity. I always have my best ideas, when I am walking
IS LIFE AFTER DEATH A CASE OF RELATIVISTIC NON-SIMULTANEITY ?30 Jun 2007 05:39 GMT23
The most advanced theory of "life after death" is the
Christian theory.... namely the theory advanced by St. Paul
in I Corinthians Ch. 15 verses 35-58.  There St. Paul
theorizes that when we die we go into a sort of "death
A Formula for the Gravitational Constant G found29 Jun 2007 19:23 GMT40
A formula for the gravitational constant G found:
G = pi / (e * sqrt(3)) * 10^-10
that's (for the calculator):
G = pi / (e * sqrt(3)) * 1e-10
Dense gas experiments on the Jay Leno Show last night (Wed., June 27th, 2007)29 Jun 2007 18:58 GMT2
Jay had a physicist who demonstrated the properties of one gas whose
density exceeds air by 5x.  This gas is very inert, and it is not
noxious at all.  As a matter of fact, if you were to breathe it, your
voice's pitch would decrease by 2 octaves or so!
Quantum wierdness &"spooky" action are not strange at all.29 Jun 2007 15:55 GMT8
A recent experiment gave better results when it was assumed that the
subatomic particle which was about to be measured existed in a
randomized state (ie not yet "real" or actualized) prior to
measurement.

What is the electric field near a rotating wire?29 Jun 2007 04:33 GMT1
What is the electric field near a rotating wire section rotating like a
baton? (Let's say, close to the relevant side and axis of a slowly rotating
rectangular current loop.)  I am wondering why the use of some valid field
rules conflicts with what we expect from this apparently ...
